Poetry, Sacrifice

The evil fire that burns

Inside the souls

Let no one earns

Dignity and they believe in folklores.
Those myths, those harsh customs

Ruined life of many

Those scary tales I’ve heard

From my granny.
How hardships they had to face

They were not allowed to fulfill

The dreams they chased.
In the name of dignity

They destroyed humanity

Having no regrets

Those incidents were hard to forget.
Women were deprived of their rights

They lost their existence for others’ fight

Their mouths kept shut

They were considered sluts.
They had done no mistake

But for this world’s sake

They sacrificed their life

It was no uncommon but rife.
